Business Development Manager

We are known as African Grocers in the market specializes in the distribution of top-quality African grocery products. Currently, we supply our products in Manchester, Leeds, Scotland, and many more as we speak.

We are looking for an ideal candidate who can give wings to our rapid growing company through which the candidate would also be beneficial ultimately

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities: This involves researching and identifying potential clients, conducting market analysis, and understanding customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies: You will be responsible for creating and executing sales strategies to achieve business growth targets. This includes setting sales targets, creating sales plans, and analysing market trends.
  • Building and maintaining customer relationships: You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and potential clients. This includes regular communication, addressing customer concerns, and providing excellent customer service.
  • Negotiating contracts and pricing: You will be involved in negotiating contract terms and pricing agreements with customers. This requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to understand market dynamics and pricing strategies.
  • Collaborating with internal teams: You will work closely with internal teams such as operations, marketing, and finance to ensure smooth execution of sales activities. This includes coordinating with logistics to ensure timely delivery, collaborating with marketing to develop promotional strategies, and working with finance to manage pricing and profitability.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitors: You will need to stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. This will help you identify potential threats and opportunities and develop appropriate strategies to stay ahead in the market.
  • Analysing sales data and performance: You will be responsible for analysing sales data, evaluating performance against targets, and identifying areas for improvement. This includes preparing sales reports, conducting sales reviews, and implementing corrective measures when necessary.
  • Attending industry events and trade shows: You may be required to attend industry events, trade shows, and networking events to showcase your company’s products and services, build relationships, and identify potential business opportunities.

Overall, your role as a Food Wholesale Business Development Manager is to drive business growth, build strong customer relationships, and contribute to the overall success of the company.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £26,200.00-£28,000.00 per year
Schedule: Working: Monday to Friday (40 Hours per week / 5 days a week)

We are looking for suitable candidates who can give wings to our rapid growing company through which the candidate would also be beneficial ultimately.

Driver Responsibilities include:

1)  To be liable for the goods taken from / drop to the warehouse.

2)  Be punctual with the timelines and follow the guidelines given by the company.

3)  Drop the goods to the correct address as per the instructions of the company.

4)  You need to comply all the traffic rules (including speed limits, driving laws) and you are solely responsible for any penalty / fines incurred.

Driver Requirements:

1)  A full and valid UK Driving licence (manual licence).

2)  A maximum of 6 points on your licence.

3)  We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, flexible and happy to work hard on their own initiative.

4)  We are looking for someone with good people skills that are helpful and friendly.

5)  You must be physically fit to be able to manually load goods into a van (up to 20kg).

6)  You must be able to provide various documents for identity checks.

Job Types: Temporary with possible opportunity of a permanent role.

Marketing Executive

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join our growing team as a Marketing Executive on a full time, permanent basis.

The Marketing Executive requires flexibility, the ability to prioritise effectively and be a proactive member of the team. If you have previous Marketing Executive experience in a Private sector, then this could be an excellent next step for you!

Marketing Executive Key Responsibilities:

Paid Ads : Work with our Marketing team to manage Paid Ad’s across all social Media.

Website Management: Supporting our websites, Applications and subscription partner Recharge.

PPC : Manage Google Ads

Conversion Optimisation: Work with our digital team to craft tailored landing pages, enhancing on-site conversion metrics.

SEO leadership: Manage SEO strategy.

CRM Support: Support the brand and marketing team to ensure the seamless execution of weekly campaigns targeting leads, and active and past customers. Usings websites, blogs, social media, print collateral and CMS platforms. Within our close-knit team of creatives, your ideas will be at the forefront of our day-to-day activities and campaign executions

Performance Targets: Meet and surpass goals related to new and returning customer sign-ups and the LTV:CAC ratio.

Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with the Brand and Marketing team to identify, scope, and test potential growth channels and promotional offers.

Ad Creative Collaboration: Work with our Marketing Manager and the brand team to ensure performance marketing creatives align with our brand and are effectively delivered. Compiling, distributing and presenting ideas, information and strategies.

Feedback & Analysis: Routinely conduct and evaluate customer surveys to refine our growth strategies.

Conversion Optimisation: Partner with the Marketing team to craft tailored landing pages, enhancing on-site conversion metrics.

Briefs advertising team on client requirements, monitors the progress of advertising campaigns and liaises with client on potential modifications.

Managing social media campaigns.

Conducting research and analysing data to identify and define audiences.

Maintain the marketing calendar, planning digital activity across multiple channels

Ensure that all marketing efforts are aligned with the brand Key skills
